COVID-19 magnified the need for leaders to be prepared to advance comprehensive strategies and solutions to a broad range of global health challenges that impact the vitality of our communities. To help organizational leaders in business, health care, the non-profit sector, government and more address wide-ranging global health challenges and opportunities, Indiana Tech has developed several programs in global health leadership—a graduate certificate, a master of science, a master of business administration concentration and a PhD in global health leadership.

During that time, this field will add about 2.6 million new jobs, mainly due to an aging population leading to greater demand for health care services. As such, hospitals, private clinics, nursing homes and assisted living facilities will need outstanding health care administrators to oversee the departments that deliver day-to-day patient care within those organizations.
To help prepare qualified candidates to fill those professional needs, Indiana Tech has developed three programs in health care administration—a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration concentrating in health care administration, a graduate certificate and an undergraduate certificate. These programs will prepare you for a wide array of positions across the health care sector, including clinic director, hospice care director, health services manager, practice administrator, medical records manager or practice/office manager.

Indiana Tech’s online Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management will provide you with the knowledge and skills you need in health information management and analysis, data systems development, data mining and regulatory compliance. Federal regulations that require the use of electronic health records are expected to create tens of thousands of jobs in health information technology within the next three years. With an Associate of Science in Health Information Technology, you can be well-prepared to compete for one of these sought-after positions.
Our program starts with a solid basis in math and English then adds expertise in medical coding, reimbursement and the privacy and security of patient records. Students will have hands-on experiences with the electronic health record (EHR) and project management as it relates to EHR implementation. They will use computer applications to assemble and analyze patient data to improve patient care or control costs.
